Billy,

It shouldn't make a difference at all. I have used both successfully
running 100 watts. Generally I switch between them occasionally just to
exercise each. I'm not really sure it does anything but I'm sure it can't
hurt.

Does it make any difference as to if you are using ANT A or ANT B?

What about at lower power levels, say 25 watts?

Check this site ... http://www.va3cr.net/ seems like I recall a similar
issue and it was traced back to blown diodes on in the SWR circuit.

Hope this helps!

Greetings! I just recently purchased a FT1000MP MKV. It seems the meter in
the swr setting isn't working. It shows 1.1 all the time no matter where I
am in the band. When I am in a section where the swr would be high the Hi
SWR light comes on, but the SWR meter still shows 1.1 Does anyone have any
ideas on what might be wrong? Is there some setting I just haven't found
yet that I need to change? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
