[1000mp] IPO (Intercept Point Optimization)

Okay the IPO button as I understand it bypasses the
front-end FET RF amplifiers which will somewhat reduce the
signal and help reduce the overloading from signals on
adjacent frequencies on the lower bands.  However, on the
upper bands when I engage the IPO there is a huge drop in
signal.  Does anyone have an explanation for this large drop
or better still is this normal or is there a possible
problem with my Mark V.  Just curious.
