[1000mp] 75/80M Problem

Bill,

I have been experiencing something like that on my MP,
except my intermittent is on the 40m band. I think
I've narrowed it down to the antenna tuner, although
the problem doesn't always fix itself when I turn the
tuner off and on a few times. If I play with the
split TX buttons and the antennna tuner buttons, the
problem usually goes away (for a while). And none of
the other bands seemed affected. Because it is
intermittent, it is very difficult to track down. In
your case, it sounds like something is more
heat-related, so you might try a freezing spray to
isolate the problem. It's hard to say where to start,
but if the antenna tuner is faulty, it will kill all
the output on that band on all modes. Just a thought.
