I have had considerable experience with many of the Yaesu radios
including the FT1000D, FT1000MP, FT1000MP MkV and FT2000 just to name a
few. I still own the MkV which should say something by itself. My
afterburner is seldom needed with the 200 Watts provided by the MkV.
Also, I disposed myself of a six-Meter Amplifier because the MkV
6-Meter Transverter provides 200 Watts on that band too.
But when push comes to shove with weak signals on 80 and 160, my
modified Drake R4C is clearly better as is my Collins 75S3-B! Long
live VTs!

Subject: [1000mp] Replacing DC power cable
I'm looking for information about the connector and internal pins for
the MarkV DC power cable. The one i'm currently using has one of the
wires pulling loose from the pin and I would like to replace the cable.
Thanks,
Justin KL1RL
