[1000mp] Erratic TX behavior

Brian,

At first it sounded like a bad coax, as I had this
problem after I accidentally dug into a buried coax
while burying some radials. Every now and then
(usually when it was raining) I noticed the SWR would
spike up and down when using that antenna. As you
could not duplicate this with a second rig, this
pretty well eliminates that problem - unless it is a
loose connection with your PL-259.

Second suggestion, did you try re-setting the wounded
rig? I had a problem with SWR when running QRP
(setting output to less than 5W). The autotuner and
memory settings were wiped out with such little power.
 Resetting the rig cured this.

Other than that, I'm just about out of ideas.
