[1000mp] Erratic TX behavior

The old FT-1000mp is having a strange issue .....


At times while transmitting, the SWR will spike to over 3:1 and of
course the rig will shut down.  Once the rig has this issue, the SWR
will stay 3:1 or higher without the tuner, and when I try to ingage the
tuner, the tuner will not tune.

I have to go to other bands and hit the ATU button to get the radio
work again.

I have swapped out FT-1000mp for another mp, and the 2nd mp doesn't
have this issue?

Also, I have noticed, that the wounded rig seems to work better once it
warms up.

Any ideas?
