[1000mp] AW: Interesting Problem

True BUT there are soooooo many controls.  The first thing I thought of was
"What did I push to turn them off?"  The SHIFT and WIDTH controls I don't
use that often so that didn't register, plus I didn't think they would work
if the IDBT wasn't turned on and that I checked, it wasn't.

My experience says, that this is a very common situation. If I get the
feeling, that something is going wrong with my Mk-V Field (e.g. deaf rx), my
first reaction is, to carefully check  >>> A L L <<< controls on the front
panel. This should be done systematically, for example starting on the upper
left and working through to the lower right side. Most "problems" can be
solved this way and each time I was successful, I do a deep sigh and I say
to myself: "OK, this is really a very nice rig" ;-)

P.S.: Yesterday DX-ing was really happy: 3B7C on 30m and on 40m, DXCC #185:
KH0 and DXCC #186: (and all with MK-V Field and a simple windom ant)
