[1000mp] problem with Inrad IF mod

Problem:  

I  have a 1000MP  MkV and installed the Inrad IF mod board. It amplifies the signal, but the audio is distorted.  I contacted  Inrad and they sent me a new IF mod board( good people), it worked exactly the same as the original one.  

Has anyone had this problem and a solution?
