[1000mp] Strange display when switching from digital modes to "classic" modes...

Hi there,

On my 1000mp Mk V Field, I've just switched menu 3-2 option ("ets-sel", 
Extended Tuning Scale Selection), from "Clarifier" to "Dial", and I now 
see something, with this scale (the one just above the main frequency 
reading) which may be normal but which I don't really understand: when 
switching to or from a digital mode (namely RTTY & PKT), I get a strange 
display on this scale: the red dots below the scale light up to 
mid-scale approximately, until I turn the main dial, at which point 
everything goes back to normal...

Has anyone seen this behaviour and (optionally ;-) ) can explain it ? I 
haven't seen anything related to this in the docs nor in the mailing 
list archive...
