I bought a Rascal a couple years ago to use with my
Kenwood TS-530S. While I finally got it to work, I
found it had several drawbacks that led me to purchase
a rigblaster pro. The biggest problem with it was
that it sometimes froze in the PTT On position
(especially when booting my PC). The other problem
was that I go zero tech support. They don't take
phone calls period. And they only answered my first
email. Their responses were: yes, yes, no, yes, no
(or something like that). Future emails were never
returned. Have you checked out the reviews in
eHam.net? I did and noticed I wasn't alone with the
support issues. Bottom line, if you are technically
inclined and don't mind experimenting, it does work
and it is cheap, compared to many of the other
interfaces.
