[1000mp] Audio problem

I have a 1000MP MkV that loses audio intermittently.  Sometimes it's 
white noise, sometimes completely dead.  Powering down then up restores 
the audio.  The S meter continues to register when I have the rig tuned 
to a QSO. 

I disassembled the unit, reseated all the little flat pack cables, and 
checked the audio board for problems.  Found nothing.

Has anyone experienced this frustrating situation?
