[1000mp] PKT and USB Operation Question

Made further checks here, and have now confirmed what I thought might be the
case - - it depends on the age of the radio, one of the 1000MPs here is
dated 1996 and the 'Easy Set' option for SSTV-U doesn't work (in fact there
is no 'SSTV-U'), but on a later model it works just fine so thanks for those
who advised me how to do this.

I guess the other question now is, How to upgrade the firmware on the older
radio?

Maybe it *IS* about time to buy a FT2000 ;-)

Thanks for the tips guys - but can't get this to work (maybe it's because I
am trying this on an old '96 vintage 'MP?); under 'Easy Set' I have
OFF/FAX/SSTV options, but no SSTV-U. Also, pressing (and holding etc..)
the PKT button only gives LSB or FM, no USB.

Seems like I need to investigate further...

I need to use the 1000MP in the PKT mode in order to transmit SSTV with a
microHAM MK2R+ and MixW, but can only get the 'MP to run LSB with PKT.

How can I enable USB and PKT at the same time?

LSB and PKT is fine, but not USB.

Any ideas please?

Thanks
