I think you misunderstood what Garry meant. 

Replies should go default directly to the one whom you are replying to and not to the entire list.  If someone should  wishes to send a post to the entire list, he should add the 1000mp at mailman.qth.net to the adressee field (marked with To:) . The current setting is just the opposite. All replies - just as your private reply to Garry -  are sent to ALL list members.

This is how I - a non-native ENglish speaker - understood.

This way we could avoid having dozens of private emails or redundant information in our mailboxes.

Hello Garry:

When I just now replied to your post, the reply to: says "All about Yaesu
1000mp".  Your name does not appear in the to: line.

It seems to work properly on my Windows 2000 pro platform.  Which platform
are you using, and which email client.
