Dear all,
Hope some can help me out on this one.
During the PACC contest I ran in to the following problem with my FT1000MP
Mark V field.
It seem that the receiver gets jammed by is own signal... it takes second
before the S meter returns to the low value.
Switching between (AGC) auto slow makes no difference however setting AGC to
fast or OFF makes the difference... S meter responds reasonably normal.
So I have the feeling that the receiver is not blocked during own TX.
Checked it also with the sub receiver, found same behaviour.

The radio is from 2004 and has not done over time... hi..

Looking forward to a reaction.

I have been doing some checking.
AGC circuit still works in receiving mode... Auto, slow, fast however
after making TX the AGC goes up scale for about 80% and it takes approx
1...2 seconds
for the receiver to recover.
As I wrote previous it looks if the TX RFf is feed back to the receiver
circuit.I can imagine
that the receiver input circuit get grounded or so while making TX.
Can some tell me if this could happen by a nearby strong signal? Perhaps
someone recognizes
my problem and give me a hint where to look... could it just be a PIN
diode??
Help.................
