[1000mp] ft1000mp mark v

Is the problem the same when you use headphones rather than the 
built-in speaker?  Could be the closed circuit  headphone jack(s) are 
intermittent.  I ran into the same issue some time back and it turned 
out to be the small front panel headphone jack.

Hi all

Im new to the site and I need your help I have a mark v and I only have 
it 2
weeks but from time to time it gets a bit deaf . it don't matter what
frequency or band your on it just goes deaf  and also what I have 
noticed is
that the display takes 5 seconds sometimes to come to life when powered 
up
 from cold, even though its used every day. It was manufactured in 2005. 
now
when it goes deaf if I give it a little tap on the casing it comes back 
to
life again. I opened it up to see if there was anything obviously loose
inside but could not see anything can someone please help thanks in 
advance.
