Hi Jon,

Have you considered trying the W8JI NB mod on the MP without the INRAD
roofing filter? It's pretty easy to perform.

Well, I have to chime in here. I have two FT-1000MP's, one with the roofing
filter and one without.  In contest conditions, the roofing filter makes a
marvelous difference in adjacent channel interference.  But that is the
single most noticeable difference to my CW ears between the two MP's.
