Do you suppose the 'obverse' might be true also?

That would suggest that adding the W8JI NB mod after doing the INRAD Roofing
Filter mod reduces the effectiveness of the Roofing Filter.
I did not do the NB mod but did do the Roofing Filter mod. I almost never
use the NB and have it set to minimum all the time when not in use. My on
the air experience has been that the INRAD mod made a very significant
difference --- but one should consider that in the context that the nearest
amateur KW station is about 25 miles away and the nearest 100 w station is
more than five miles away from my location.
I did not run any of the tests that W8JI ran to look at the radio
performance after the INRAD mod so I have no experimental data to
contribute, only anecdotal data.
I would be interested in any comment that George might wish to contribute. I
am sure that he looked at some of these things during the process of design
and prototype building of the roofing filter.
