[1000mp] CAT on FT1000MP

Has anyone used their CAT interface for tuning their radio?  Several friends and myself have tried using Ham Radio Deluxe and it works fine except when tuning the VFO from the computer screen there is a muting of the audio for each frequency step.  Both the old MP and the Mark V Field do the same thing.  The new 2000 does not.  We have tried different computers and setting but nothing seems to change it.  Some claim it is the slow RS232 port on the 1000, 4800 baud but I am not so sure why that would cause the audio to drop out. The S meter does not show any loss of signal so it is just an audio muting problem.  73 Mike K4PI
