[1000mp] Loss of audio Mark V

I had a somewhat similar problem (greatly decreased volume rather
than complete loss) which I posted to the list on 2/28 and got no
comments/replies.

However, by various experiments, I determined that my EDSP was "going
south" on me. I disabled it for both receive and transmit operations and
operation returned to normal. It sounds like yours may have quit working
entirely. (See details on the rig symptoms in my earlier post, which should
be in the list archives for Feb.)

Go into your menus and turn off all EDSP related receiver functions and
disable the EDSP based transmit audio processing and see if your receive
and transmit return. EDSP is not utilized for the sub receive - which is
why that is not affected. In my case, I did not have EDSP related processing
enable for CW - therefore, I noted normal receive function for CW on
both receivers and only a severe loss of audio on the main when using
SSB. At the same time I had noted that I was having to increase the mic
gain and processor settings to get decent output when transmitting. So,
looking at what features were "on" in those conditions led me to the EDSP
circuit. With it all off, I lose some of the nice filtering options, but
am living with it for the time being until I can send it in for repair.
