[1000mp] CW USB/LSB frequency shift

When I switch from CW USB to CW LSB the frequency shifts with the offset 
value. Same when going CW LSB to USB.  The manual on page 35 specifically says the 
rig automatically keeps the same frequency so you can shift from on sideband 
to the other while in the CW mode for QRM reduction -- as most other rigs do. 
But my rig does not do this and I can't switch sidebands without having to 
retune the tuning dial.
Anyone know about this issue? It seems very unual a rig of this class would 
have this problem and that the manual can be so wrong ..?? 73 Pete W2PM
