[1000mp] FT100MP: blinking display after power on

Hans,

I have had that problem on my 1K MP and it was due to the Phase 
Locked Loops not working.  This was due to one of the voltage
regulators going out on the Volt regulator board.  Check that you 
have all three voltages needed to run the MP.  This seemed to be a
common problem and often times you can repair it by replacing a 
bad volt regulator with one obtained locally.  Saves you the hassle
of shipping the rig somewhere.   And it has been found that these
volt regulators run rather hot.  Some fellows have added additional
cooling heat sinks to the volt regulators.  Just a thought.  Good Luck
