I have SIX MPs, vintage from 1996 to 2001. None of them have had the
mentioned RX sensitivity (relay??) problem, or any other problems for that
matter.
Some of these six units are the ones I mentioned last week, that I have
purchased via E-Bay from other hams.
For me and my contest station applications, the MP is by far and away the
best value per dollar on the market right now.
I do invest in the additional Inrad filters, the roofing filter, the CW mod,
etc., and the end result is a truly superior transceiver with no problems
exhibited on any of the six units.
YMMV!!!!!!!!!
