[1000mp] EDSP

Mine is doing the same....going nuts with wide open audio that makes you
slap the headphones off. Lately it has started just making the audio
disappear. Cycling the power always brings it back. Called Yaesu for
prices on the parts and it will be quite expensive to replace the two cards
associated with the DSP system.....something around $600 as I remember. Can
reduce that cost by narrowing it to which board the problems are on. One
board handles all the digital work with the DSP on it and the other looks to
be the analog interfacing into and out of the DSP system. I am going to
spend more time on mine this winter...

Seems from the notes it is not an isolated problem.....

Radio functions great other than that.....I've been using it strictly for
the digital modes hooked to the sound card in my PC. Using the trusty
FT-1000D for voice and CW.

Cecil...
