Hello Milt and all....I am referring to the external speaker jack on the
rear of the MP...anyone else had this jack go "funny" on them???
I guess I will have to open up the radio and check the soldering of that
jack. Thanks to all who replied.

Ted,

Is the plug inserted into the 1/8" minature jack on the front panel? If so,

I have figured out a method to make the repair. Please advise.

Hello one and all...

Just wondered if anyone has experienced intermittent connections when
plugging in an external speaker to the 1000mp???

I thought my soldering skills had decayed badly because I had soldered a new

plug onto the external speaker leads, but when I plug it into the radio the
audio is non existent until I wiggle the plug. This happened a few times
until I realized that maybe I have a cold solder joint or a broken
connection on the jack itself. Anybody experience this? and is it easy to
repair??

Let me know. Thanks. Ted VE3SS
