[1000mp] ext spkr jack and 1000mp original

Ted, I had the same problem with my original MP. A 'lil' wiggle would bring  
the SP-5 back to life. It was more a nuisance than anything. A new SP-8 fell 
my  way and I seem to think that it worked better. Well, it had a different 
cable  too.
 
I did not worry abt it as it was so intermittent. To me, it was not worth  
the bother to try and repair.
 
Later, I just added so much stuff to the op desk that I had to put the SP-8  
in the spare parts closet.
