[1000mp] Failed FP-29 Power Supply

Hi Rich - unfortunately, that sounds familiar. In my case, the power supply got really, really hot when all this happened, so all I did was check that the DC buses in the radio weren't shorted to ground, and then sent the supply in. I first tried the W6 guy in South Carolina who can repair anything Yaesu, and he told me he could not do anything with the supply. Yaesu declared it unrepairable (apparently they OEM the main board and it has a bunch of proprietary parts) - so I wound up having to buy a new one. you will not like it - $600 IIRC.
