[1000mp] difference between Yaesu XF-... and YF-... filter types

Hi altogether,

does anybody know the difference between the Yaesu XF-. and the YF-. filter
types? I purchased the XF-110CN/XF-114CN 250Hz filters that were recently
offered here on this list for my Mk-V Field.

If I tune the RX to the maximum signal strength of a stable (CW) carrier
now, it seems, that the signal is 2 S-units weaker with the 250 Hz filters
than with the 400 Hz filters (from Inrad). Of course I tried to re-tune to
the max signal after switching the bandwidth from 400 to 250, in case that
filter curves would have a slightly different centre frequency.

Now I discovered in the manual, that Yaesu lists the YF-. type as optional
filters for the Mk-V (Field). Has this any relation to my problem?
