[1000mp] EDSP Fault

Hi
I posted on here about 6 weeks ago reference problem with EDSP on my 1000MP.
Going to try again and see if anyone has an answer. Thanks to 2 replies 
I received last time but no help from them.
Problem is when I switch on EDSP. With EDSP switched on no problem. When 
I then try switching to contour or to Noise Reduction filters it 
immediately kills the audio.
However the signal meter is still showing audio signal. I am just hoping 
that the EDSP unit is not defective hence my request thru this reflector.
Has anyone experienced similar problem and if so what was fault or remedy.
