Hi Dick,

Well maybe not all.  My Mark V Field has never done this.  It comes on
consistently in about a second or less (every time!).   I also don't have
the initial dim display on start up that many have talked about.   BTW I
keep the display on the Lo position in Menu 3-4.  And it is a low mileage
rig, 5,845 Qs since Dec 2003.

This is normal with all MARKV'S. Not to worry.

P.S. I have a 200w MarkV and it has done that from day 1!
