If I remember right they mean touch the tinned wires with the soldering iron
and push them thru the holes.

I have the rig ready to install the INRAD Roofing filter and ran into a
situation I am not sure what to do.

The Mark-5 Field requires that you solder two wires onto the AF-FIL board to
get a ground an 5 watt connection to the filter. The instructions on
attaching the two wires says " pads already filled with solder. Touch with
soldering iron and push 1/8" of wire through the opening in the pad." I
have the two wires ready to install. But, in touching the pads with the
soldering iron I can't begining to push the wire through 1/8". The wires are
tinned.

Do the wired need to be pushed through 1/8" ? If so, how do I get this
done. I am afraid to put too much heat to the board. I am using a 25 watt
soldering iron. Appreciate help from anyone who has done this mod.
