[1000mp] FT1000mp serial port communication

Hello All
I have a problem with my 1000mp and Logger32 (version 2.7) communicating since I got a new home brew computer. The new computer motherboard did not have a built in serial port I added a PCI serial port card and installed all proper drivers and such. This is only use of serial port and it works at times with radio. However if radio and logger have not been on for several days then when I try to use them together they do not talk to each other. Logger32 is very erratic at this time like a low memory condition with slow responce to any input mouse or keyboard.
First time this happened I tried restarting computer, resetting everything, nothing I did made any difference. Checking the serial port at control panel shows it to be functioning normally. I finally got old computer out and it worked right off. Hooking back to new machine everything worked fine. Worked fine for a week then after not using either for few days back to same condition. I hooked up a laptop to radio worked right off moved serial connector back to new computer it worked right off.
Its like something is happening between computer and radio that is interferring with operation when I try to use it yet hooking up another computer it works?. It makes no sense to me?. Any of you computer gurus have any thoughts on this. I have also post this on the Logger Yahoo group maybe somewhere someone has a answer.
