[1000mp] FT1000D question

Comments about the Tuning Mod:

#1 - International Radio Service Division will drive anyone
absolutely bonkers with their turnaround time if you have
them do any work. There is no calling them, no e-mailing,
no faxes: Simply No Contact. Months later the radio shows
up or not. There are numerous comments on QTH.COM
        about this business. Caveat Emptor.

#2 - The tuning mod installed in the FT-1000d has a peculiarity
that when the radio is energized, the sub receiver dial needs
to be cranked a bit before the main receiver dial adjusts the
         VFO. Very disconcerting.

#3 - The tuning modification does work as they say, once installed.
