Dear Sirs,

My station uses a DX Engineering sequencer for the safe operation of
the Yaesu FT-1000P.

The station runs two long wires for full diversity reception, and
a linear amplifier in the transmit chain. The last thing wanted is a relay
glitch.

The Transmit sequencer works seamlessly and does everything the manufacturer
claims.

Please note that all the antenna lines go through a multiple arrestor stage
made of I.C.E. and Huber-Suhner surge arrestors, before leaving the confines
of the shack, as static drainage is just as important as E.M.P. fault
protection.

Lastly, disconnecting all the antenna leads when the station is not used is
just as important
as fully disconnecting the a.c. lines too. If a lightning bolt can travel
nine miles through
the air and cause a spark gap on a tower to flash from twenty miles, any
small switch
is useless as protection.

DX Engineering makes a sequencer that is supposed to be some sort of  
switch that protects rx gear while you are transmitting.  I'm not  
completely sure it is something you can use, but here is a link so you
