[1000mp] FT-1000 with Heil PR-40

A while back, in considering an audio system for
long-range SSB signal intelligence my top choice
was a good carbon-button mike with a true battery
bias voltage source to eliminate hum, and a simple,
12AX7A microphone preamp with an unbalanced
transformer input and transformer output matching the
mike and radio.
This would give the optimum voice frequency range
while eliminating overtones, harmonics and sub-harmonics.
The problem was that I sounded like Rudy Vallee singing
through the old megaphone and people would make themselves
crazy, spinning the RIT trying to find the HiFi setting.

Oops. It has been pointed out to me that I got the filters backwards.
The 250 Hz was a high pass and the 3400 Hz was a low pass.
