Whenever one has doubts about whether needing a null
modem, a simple test is to verify that pin 3 on the PC
(its TX line) idles low, and therefore, that pin 2 on
your radio/target (its TX line ) idles low.  If so,
then NO null modem is needed.

If both units have a low voltage on pin 3, a null
modem is needed.

You want one's TX connected to the other's RX.
