[1000mp] filtering for Rtty on a "Field"

I have a question about filtering my FT1000 MP Field for Rtty. Since 
they come with a 500 hz filter already in the second IF, I put in the 
500 hz filter in the third IF, and also the Inrad roofing filter at the 
same time. This really works well on CW.

My question is, last weekend in the Naqp Rtty, this really worked well. 
But I ran into a problem. I was transmitting 20 hertz higher then my 
receive frequency. No problem once I was made aware of this, and set my 
rit at -.020, that put me back in transceive and all was well. Did this 
have something to do with the way the rig is now filtered, or have I got 
a setting wrong in the software (MMTTY engine in WriteLog). Thanks...
