I need a little help. I install the 2.8 filters in my Mark V. My first
surprise was to discover that the OEM 2.4 for the 8.215Mhz was solder =
in,
since I was inform my many that the factory filter were plug-in. =
Needless to
say that this discourage me from replacing the 2.4=92s with the 2.8=92s. =
Not
because of the soldering, but I didn=92t want to get into removing the =
board.
So giving up any transmit benefits I just install the 2.8=92s in the =
optional
slots thinking that I might take on the board issue later. I had no =
2.0=92s
filters installed so I use slot 1 and 3. Now to the problem. I went to =
the
menu settings and turn on 5-1 and 5.5. Now when I select Nar1 or Nar2
depending on my 5.0 setting I think the filters are coming on, but I am =
not
sure and there is very little signal on the s-meter. Also my CAT =
software
is not seeing the 2.8 filters. What have I done wrong or have I =
forgotten
to change something.

Thanks for any help.
