Being a slave to that technology means holding on to a particular kind 
of technology and not being able to accept that things change and 
technology moves forward, whether we like it or not.

Not that it matters, but I was a Technician for a long time, almost 22 
years. But, if you want to know when I got my Extra Class license, look 
up N9AAT- which I got in 1978, after WD9IPV- on the FCC website. You 
might be surprised. N9AA is a vanity call I got in September of 2004. 
Before that, I was W9AL.

At any rate, I have had some experience operating HF rigs in my 29 years 
as an amateur. One benefit of being licensed that long is that I 
understand what the specs in the magazines mean and I don't say 73s. In 
all due respect.
