What are you useing your radio for?
Contesting, Ragchewing, Short Wave??
For any type of Ham Radio Communication I would think you would want a
tighter bandwidth filer. I have an FT-1000mp which comes with one 2.4K
filter. I found this filter worthless during any Ham Radio operation. I
ended up removeing the filter and replaceing it with the Yaesu 2.1K filter.
Also put a second 2.1K filter in the other IF slot. Then put a set of 1.8K
Inrad filters in the 2K slot. So when I select the 2.4K filters I am realy
useing the 2.1K filters. When I select the 2K filters I am realy useing the
1.8K filters. This seems to be doing the job for me. The 1.8k filters are a
real help during contests.
