HI Alex,
That is how I did it, a little at a time. It really depends on what you are
trying to do. I don't have the 125 Hz in my rig, because I like RTTY, so I
stop at 250 Hz of BW. But if you are really into low band DXing and
contesting I would sure give the 125's some consideration!
On SSB I like the 2.2 Khz units. For me the 1.8 Khz are too tight.
The roofing filter is a very good option for what you are trying to do. I
have an Inrad 400 hz unit in the sub receiver.
Here is the break down on my Mark V Field.
Dual 2.8 Inrads
Dual 2.2 Inrads
Dual 500 Inrads
Dual 250 Inrads
Roofing filter
400 hz filter in Sub RX
Does all this work?? You betcha!! Do I cringe when I think of all the
money spent on filtering? I don't like to think that much, grin. :-)
