==========
I have the INRAD 125 Hz xtal filter in the 3rd (455 kHz) IF of my
FT-1000MP. It was money well-spent, be cause it offers a dramatic
improvement in the ability to hear those extremely weak CW signals
(especially on 160 meters). The improvement in S/N ratio is significant.

I used the slot for the optional 2100 Hz SSB filter to install the 400 Hz
filter. Nothing else was needed to do because it's all taken care of by
selecting the CW mode.

I have 500 Hz filters in the 500 Hz slots, 250 Hz filters in the 250 Hz
slots, and the 125 Hz filter in the 2100 Hz 3rd IF slot. I normally use
the 125 Hz filter with the 250 Hz filter (which is in the 8.215 slot).

The front panel filter switching makes filter selection easy on my
original FT-1000MP. If you have a MK V or a Field, then the MpFilters
freeware program by K6SE is almost mandatory.
