[1000mp] VOX

I have had this MP for several years.  It has never been used in the  VOX 
mode.  It is inputted by a RigBlaster [for digital modes], external  keyer, foot 
switch and a Heil boom mike.  QSK works fine.
 
When trying to use VOX [for semi-break-in CW], while in the CW mode, the  
TRANSMIT comes on immediately when the VOX button is depressed.  I  disconnected 
the mike connector from the MP and set the MIC to full  counterclockwise.  
Same thing.  I have not changed the factory VOX  settings.
 
Any suggestions?
