I think that if you check the archives you;ll find extensive correspondence about this, including a list of the frequencies where it occurs. It's more like a click, and is only heard as you tune across the frequency - I don't believe there is any kind of a stead-state hum, hiss or birdie. IIRC, it is a synthesizer artifact, and is sufficiently unobtrusive that Yaesu left it alone. Certainly, I'm not conscious of it unless I'm actively looking for it. There is one at 14.008.31 USB.
