Why not to blame?
I have to admit that 1000MP radio is just great in both electronic and
mechanical meaning. All those connectors, cable ties, metal shields,
sping contacts etc.
I am just asking myself sometimes: why did they do this or that - some
obvious things - and never fixed them in 10-15 years of production?
Thing "numero uno" (at least for me) - 120AC/12DC operation. Why do I
have to take 17 bolts out, take two covers off, tilt the front of the
radio TO RECONNECT THE POWER BUTTON from one place to another and then
assemble the radio back ???
Some other things - AGC fixes and key-clicks?
Now comes the new one - not optically decoupled rs-232 interface. I
dont know how common or freqeuent this problem is, but why they did
not do it at the very beginng, at design stage?
You know, it sounds like that famous Icom IC-746 no output due to
fried driver chip...
