TNX for the reply... I found some one here who have don this before...so try him out, Ihe works for a HAM radio shop and told me that I'm not the first one facing this problem.
Honestly I would expect that a radio of this quality should be protected for this kind of events....
I'm a little frustrated by the fact that I just got the FT1000 ... almost new from the box and was able to kill the cat interface by stupidity...
I know the chip is small and cost less than 2$ but the knowledge that some one need to poke ithe FT1000 with a soldering iron makes me even more angry about my self.

I'm a member of PA6Z and I'm the guy who screams from the roofs never use CAT without OPTO's... so is this mr Murphy or not....
