Enter USER mode on Mark-V as follows:

Hold the PKT button for more than 1 second, then hold FAST+ENT
Rotate VRF/MEM CH knob to get to Menu 8-6 on display
Rotate SUB-VFO B knob to get EASY-SET on display
Rotate MAIN VFO-A knob to get PS31-U for USB, and PS31-L for LSB
Rotate SUB-VFO-B knob to get dsp-ofSt
Rotate MAIN VFO-A knob to bring frequency offset to 0.000 (Hz)
Hit ENT to exit

With the optional filters installed, make sure you have enabled them
correctly using the various menus. For PSK31, it is best to set menu 5-4 to
8.2-455 (250Hz Filter Bandwidth). This sets up the Mark-V to use the 250Hz
filters for both the 8.2 and 455 IF.

The RF Output is also important for PSK31. Do not overdrive the transmitter.
I setup my RF PWR knob fully clockwise (max. output) and during IDLE tone
(on PSK31), limit my audio gain for about 70 watts or so on the Power Output
Display. Of course you should see NO ALC reading, because the RF Output is
way below 200 watts.

**** YOU MUST press either the NOR, NAR1, or NAR2 buttons AFTER you change
menu 5-4, in order for the changes to take effect. *****

Hope that helps
