[1000mp] Speaker For Mark V

Hello George:

I have tried the Mark V with both the Kenwood SP 230, as well as the Yaesu
SP 8.

Both speakers work reasonably well, but I found the sound quality to be
improved thru the addition of baffling in the speaker housing.

I have used foam rubber successfully to improve the quality in both units.
Actually, I use both speakers together, one below the other in height, and
separated by approximately the width of the Mark V. This creates a kind of
spatial sound, and makes it difficult to tell the direction that the sound
is coming from.

The Mark V is easily able to drive both speakers simultaneously.

I can't say that I have found the audio filters in the SP 8 particularly
useful.

73 and Happy DXing,

Mike
