Hi Dennis,

I had the same problem and found a reference in the history pages of this 
reflector to poor slider connection of the mic gain or proc pot. I 
lubricated the pots with a contact cleaner and the problem went away. Tip - 
take out the screws at the top of the front panel leaving the bottom ones in 
place. The front panel then hinges down and you get access to the pots.

I'm not sure what's going on but maybe someone can help.  I have been 
getting reports of bad audio with the processor on and this is something new 
for me. I have been running with the processor on and off since I got my 
MARK V a few years ago and never a bad report. Today I had the processor on 
and was told I was transmitting on both sidebands, I was on 80 meters with 
LSB button pushed at the time, I turned the processor OFF and they said the 
problem went away.

Any Ideas??
