[1000mp] FT 1000mp audio output problem

Bill and Nancy Capps:  This fault is beginning to sound like a
loss in the audio chip feeding the speaker.  To be sure, put
a speaker in the external jack and see if audio plays (with squelch
off of course).  If it does, then check to be sure the closed circuit
jack works properly by inserting the external plug a number of times.
Before assuming the audio chip is bad, I'd take the cover off and
check to see if the speaker is bad.  Use an ohmmeter.  Cliff K7RR
