[1000mp] LPT CW Interface

Alex,
While I have a prejudice in favor of microHAM products,
there are other interfaces (check www.hosenose.com, K1NU,
and others) that will provide rig control, CE (using the
DTR line) and PTT (using the RTS line) from a serial
port. It is not necessary to tie up your parallel port
in addition to a serial port. Most current software will
support CW and PTT on the serial port in addition to rig
control.
Doing CW by "flipping" the DTR is difficult and often
results in less than optimal ("broken") CW if Windows
is off "doing something else" when the CW sending routine
needs to change the state of the CW line.
